Instant Set
Triton has developed and released TRITOCRYL 2K, an instant-setting acrylic that can be applied to any thickness in 1 coat and can be rained on immediately, preventing wash-off. We use it as a premium protective coating for our TRITOFLEX 2K rubber membrane and all other types of roofs. TRITOCRYL 2K prevents premature degradation and forms a highly reflective “cool roof”, to reduce heat transfer and increase energy efficiency.

TRITOCRYL 1K is a premium-grade, water-based, and low-VOC acrylic elastomeric roof coating used over various types of membranes, including the TRITOFLEX liquid rubber material. TRITOCRYL slows down degradation of critical roofing components by creating a protective barrier to the sun and the elements.
TRITOCRYL 1K is typically provided in white for high reflectivity and energy-efficient purposes. But it is also available in light gray, tan, or any custom color upon request. TRITOCRYL 1K is Title 24 compliant and CRRC approved.

Central Washington University diverted 46,000 lbs of landfill waste and offset 67 metric tons of CO2 by choosing to recover an old roof instead of tearing it off.
Central Washington University had a building previously coated with an acrylic roof coating and was at the end of its useful life. The roof was leaking and in need of a solution. During the bid process, they were presented with the options to tear off and replace the existing modified bitumen roof or to recover it with a new TritoFlex liquid rubber membrane.
