Roof Recover

Roof Recover & Overlay

Triton changed the roofing industry by engineering a liquid membrane that performs like a factory-produced sheet and applying it to existing flat and low-slope roofs to avoid wasteful, disruptive, and costly tear-offs. Our products are unmatched in performance and eliminate traditional disruption issues by avoiding odors, harmful solvents, and dangerous VOC’s.

Clients that continually choose Triton’s liquid-applied roof recover system are benefitting from avoiding disruption to their operations, reducing their carbon footprint, and realizing millions of dollars in savings. In some situations, though infrequent, a single-ply recover may be the better design if the client needs additional insulation, the existing surface is unsuitable for a coating, or a roof has silicone coating on it.

Products & System

TritoFlex Liquid Membrane
Our flagship product, an industrial-grade, VOC-free liquid-applied synthetic rubber, has been used worldwide, from Alaska to Malaysia. On existing flat and low-slope roofs, TritoFlex is applied at a minimum of 60 dry mils (1.5 mm) to create a new seamless, durable, and flexible waterproofing membrane. It is typically then finished with a sacrificial and sustainable topcoat (TritoCryl or NeoCoat).

Advantages

  • > 1200% elongation
  • > 600 psi tensile strength
  • Factory Mutual (FM) Approved
  • Class A Fire Rating
  • Resistant to very severe hail
  • Impermeable and withstand ponding indefinitely
  • Can be sprayed to any thickness in one coat (2K version) and instantly rain resistant
  • Zero VOC’s, water-based, and odor-free
  • Resistant to acids, salts, ozone, and more
  • Flexible in sub-zero temperatures
  • Monolithic, seamless, self-terminating
  • Can be sustained and renewed for life of the building
  • Slip-resistant surfaces
  • 10, 15, or 20 year renewable NDL material and labor warranties

Protan PVC Overlay

When a thermoplastic, lightweight single-ply overlay is the appropriate design, Triton provides the only slip-resistant PVC and TPO membranes in the industry. This is the perfect option for safety-minded clients looking to reduce the risk of injuries, yet receive an industrial-grade, durable, and easy to maintain membrane. Triton’s Protan EX fleeceback PVC membrane is often used as a mechanically-attached overlay to recover existing spray foam or silicone-coated roofs that don’t need to be torn-off, but are not candidates for a fully adhered liquid membrane.
