Commitment to Safety

At Triton Inc., safety is the foundation of everything we do. As a trusted leader in roofing and waterproofing solutions for over 50 years, we are steadfast in our dedication to the well-being of our contractors and clients. The risks of slip-and-fall incidents—consistently ranking among the most costly workers’ compensation claims—demand proactive, science-backed solutions. That’s why, in 2024, we proudly partnered with Iowa State University to fund a groundbreaking safety study on roofing materials commonly used on commercial and industrial flat and low-slope roofs.

The results of this independent research were clear: the type of roofing material plays a decisive role in safety, while factors like shoe type have minimal impact. Textured thermoplastic membranes emerged as a critical minimum for roof safety, with materials like smooth TPO, PVC, and silicone performing the worst in participant testing. Guided by these findings, Triton continues to lead the way by offering slip-resistant, textured thermoplastic membranes, instant-set liquid rubbers, and other innovative, safer alternatives.

Our products not only eliminate risks associated with harmful solvents, odors, and VOCs but also provide unmatched durability and sustainability.
From our headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to our global distribution network, we instill a culture of safety through rigorous contractor training, continuous innovation, and transparency—because protecting people and the planet is a responsibility we embrace with pride.

Triton Inc. remains committed to protecting people and the planet, delivering the peace of mind that comes from stronger, safer, and sensible roofing innovations.
